Jérémy Clapin (FR), born in 1974, graduated from the Arts Décoratifs school in Paris in 1999. Since then, he has worked in several areas: as a graphic artist, as an illustrator for the press and various publishing houses, and as an independent director working in adverts. In 2004, he directed his first animated short film, "A Backbone Tale" (Une histoire vertébrale), which was featured in over 60 festivals worldwide and won more than 15 prizes. "Skhizein" is his second film; released in March 2008, it has already taken prizes at Cannes, Annecy and Zagreb, and is in international competitions in several forthcoming festivals.
