Der Kleine und das Biest (The Little Boy and The Beast)
Uwe Heidschötter,
Studio Soi,
Johannes Weiland
Since Haro’s Dad left home his mother has completely changed. She can’t play with him properly any more, broods over old photos, doesn’t laugh any more and her bad mood spreads everywhere. She has turned into a real beast. Haro has to deal with a lot of things on his own. Sometimes it’s great, but other times it’s truly exhausting.
“The Little Boy and the Beast”, produced by StudioSoi and directed by Uwe Heidschötter and Johannes Weiland, is realized with a combination of CG characters and 2D, hand-drawn environments resulting in a lush, warm and illustrative feel contrasting the film’s stark subject matter. The animated short was created for the German children’s TV show “Siebenstein” broadcast by ZDF/KI.KA.
