Ormie

Rob Silvestri
Ormie is a pig with a problem. Ormie likes cookies . . . if only he could reach them! Can anything stand in the way between a pig and his sweet obsession? Find out in the latest short sensation from Starz Animation.
Early in the production of “Ormie”, clear aesthetic goals were established by spending time sketching and storyboarding the character’s subtle and extreme actions. This made for a smooth and appealing transition from the hand-drawn designs into 3D animation. Computer-generated characters and props are composed over abstract watercolor paintings used to frame the action and support the illusion of Ormie’s surreal world. Through his escalating emotional performance, Ormie demonstrates squash-and-stretch deformation, clean storytelling poses, comedic timing as well as the inventive imaginations of the team behind the character.
