Captives
n + n corsino
Three women characterized by their capacity to say no.Their movements and their gestures are applied to their respective clones.Their dances and their actions reject any attachments, compromises, or approximations. They do not pretend.Their dreams, their imaginary world are not simulations of the real world: they extend their bodies while trying to thwart the traps of a formal modernity. This 12 minute film is made entirely in 3D. The movement of the bodies of the dancers was recorded in motion captures and applied to their clones. The choreogra-phyfalls undera scenography divided into imaginary worlds and traversed by the virtual movements of cameras.
N+N Corsino (FR) work as choreographers and directors. They explore the territory, in which dance is created and able to express itself, in order to show how moving the body transforms it. They change the space in which dance is displayed, by showing their choreographic fictions as film and multimedia installations. Winners of the Prix Villa Médics 1993 for an interactive choreography that they developed with the program "Life Forms"; in 1996 they created the commissioned work Traversées.
