Autotrader Whoosh

Ray Giarratana
Autotrader Whoosh was directed by Buddy Cone for the Donner agency outside Detroit. Digital Domain's Ray Giarratana handled the visual effects supervisor role as well as serving as animation director. Over the last four years, Digital Domain has created a distinctive array of CG adsfor various clients. Auto-trader Whoosh brings together Digital Domain's CG work with its move into Internet related advertising. The CG cars were produced digitally in Lightwave. Foreground plates were shot on stage in Los Angeles, and the spot was composited in both NUKE, Digital Domain's proprietary program, and Flame.

Ray Giarratana (IT) is director and visual effects supervisor at Digital Domain. His responsibilities as director and/or visual effects supervisor have included advertising campaigns for Coca Cola (Skydiver, Panda Picnic), Budweiser (Recycled Ants, Tongue Lashing), for Mercedes Benz (Rhinos) and the visual effects for Michael Jackson's video Ghost.
