Warp Records
Dorain Moore,
Chris McGrail,
Dan Sayers,
Kleber
The web site for "Warp Records", one of the most innovative record labels in the electronic music scene, is striking because of its style-setting design and a specially developed, efficient online shopping system, which enables the independent label to distribute its products at low cost.
The brief was to re-design the Warp Records website, updating both its look and functionality. The label has a very strong musical direction, and the site needed to reflect this. The Designers Republic, who have worked with Warp on many different projects, created the designs. Kleber implemented those designs for the Internet, and built the site structure. The process took two years from start to finish, and the site itself went through two versions of Flash before it was ready.
The Designers Republic designed the site. The Designers Republic's website www.thedesignersrepublic.com, also created with Kleber, had 1.5 million hits in its first week. Other recent projects include the acclaimed Funkstörung 'Grammy Winners' promo, idents for FilmFour, TV ads for Pringles and the first DR book "3D>2D: The Designers Republic's Adventures. In And Out of Architecture with Sadar Vugar Arhitekti and Spela Mlakar" published in July 2001.

Chris McGrail, Dorian Moore and Dan Sayers from Kleber were the construction team that put the site together. Between them, they have created many different websites under the Kleber banner, including sites for Kylie, Sade, The Beatles, Julian Cope and Ninja Tune.
