All other submissions can be searched by title/artist and displayed with year, category in list form. CUB is a tribute/homage to the awesomely beautiful Japanese comic/movie series Lone Wolf & Cub ... a story about the Shogunate’s head executioner Ogami Ito and his son Diagoro ...


Ito’s wife is murdered in a plot to discredit him so that the Yagyu Clan can take his coveted position ... He decides not only to not commit seppuku (ritual suicide to save face), but vows instead to take revenge on the entire Yagyu clan and restore his family’s good name …

He thus goes out with his infant son as an “Assassin at the crossroads of Hell” ... CUB is my take on what would happen after Diagoro has reached manhood, continuing on his fathers mission of justice ...

Steve Whitehouse (CDN) has always drawn for as long as he can remember, but cartoonists don’t get many groupies, so he turned to music instead.He played guitar first, and then moved on to the alto sax.He has worked on numerous TV shows over the years, including:Care Bears, Babar, Beetlejuice,Duckman, Stickin’Around and Sam & Max (which he directed and which earned him the Gemini for Best Animated Series).As opposed to traditional animation, which involves so many people, the concept of doing something totally personal was extremely appealing.So, after learning not to be intimidated by computers (“love ’em, hate ’em”), he got the Flash program and began working! And he’s been working at it ever since ...
