The Prix Ars Electronica Archive is a collection enabling search and viewing of all the submissions since 1987. The award-winning projects are documented with catalogue texts and audio-visual media. All other submissions can be searched by title/artist and displayed with year, category in list form. Please cite the credits (artwork name, artist and photographer) and only use the materials if your article is related to Ars Electronica.

James Paterson
For the past two years, Amit Pitaru and James Paterson have been collaborating under the name "InsertSilence." During this time, they have developed a unique process to communicate with each other, extending beyond the traditional means in which a musician (Amit) and visual-artist (James) would usually collaborate. Insertsilence.com holds a variety of projects—snapshots that depict the evolution of this relationship.
InsertSilence have exhibited in London, NYC, San Francisco, Barcelona, Paris, Seoul, Amsterdam and Milan. Their work has been recognized by such magazines as Zoo Quarterly, Surface, Dazed & Confused, Creative Review, Shift, Create Online, Impress Korea, PDN / PIX and Res<(i> among others. They have also taken part in exhibitions at the Design Museum in London, and the Seoul Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Amit Pitaru (IL), born in Jerusalem in 1974, received training in composition and piano. In 1997 he moved to New York. Amit teaches at Pratt Institute as well as for New York University's Interactive Telecommunications Program.
James Paterson (UK), born 1980, moved to Canada in 1988. After studying drawing and printmaking for six years in Toronto and Halifax James left his BFA part way through to pursue a job in NYC as a design technologist. Aside from his involvement with InsertSilence, James exists online at Presstube.com and Halfempty.com.
