Raving Rabbids Travel in Time
Akama Studio,
AKAMA
This movie is a trailer to promote the most recent video game of the Rabbids: _Raving Rabbids Travel in Time_, which we made for the Los Angeles video game show _E3_. This time the Rabbids have found a time washing machine, so they travel through time and history. The Rabbids are in some cases led to great historical events, or in other cases, they modify, change history. All this in a tone of comedy with typical humor of Rabbids.
On this project, in addition to directing and producing, we were responsible for writing the screenplay. To understand the idea of time travel and the role of the Rabbids, we selected moments of history known to many, and especially to the youngest, because this new game was aimed specifically at younger people. In addition to being representative of history in general, the times selected should be sufficiently different from each other and separated in time. Thus we begin with the discovery of fire in the Stone Age, through ancient Egypt, ending the Middle Ages and the days of chivalry using the legend of King Arthur.

Akama (FR). Despite the Japanese-sounding name, Akama is the French directing duo Alexandre Ada and Cedric Jeanne. After fine arts and graphic design studies, Alexandre and Cédric formed Akama in 2004 and began experimenting with music videos, video-game trailers and short films before launching into advertising. In 2006, Akama joined Wanda and things took off very fast. Their polished imagery, cartoonish humor and creative initiative seduce advertisers like Spontex, Lacoste, Peugeot, Nescafé, Wilkinson and Kitkat. Two of their first films, Wilkinson’s _Fight for kisses_ and _Kitkat: The ultimate break_, raked in the prizes from Cannes, Epica, Eurobest and many other festivals. For more than two years they have been expressing their aptitude at animation and comedy, collaborating with Ubisoft on its hit video game the _Raving Rabbids_. Since then, Akama have continued to expand their 3D experience by increasingly mixing live action film with 3D integration.
