Prometheus Fusion Perfection

Mark Suppes
The world desperately needs a better energy source.

Nuclear fission produces large-scale clean energy. But the recent Sendai earthquake in Japan reminds us that nuclear fission comes with very real safety hazards. Nuclear fusion on the other hand has the potential to provide clean energy without the meltdown and radiation risks.

In 2006, Robert Bussard introduced a new approach to nuclear fusion, which could change everything: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polywell. Bussard’s reactor is still unproven, but the promise is tremendous. It deserves further research.

This is where *Prometheus Fusion Perfection* comes in: It is an open-source effort to build a working Bussard nuclear-fusion reactor. For the past two years I have been building at Bussard reactor independently in my lab in Brooklyn. This is not hypothetical - this is real research. To date I have fused the atom with a fusor, a precursor to the Bussard Reactor. Everything we learn is open-sourced and immediately published to our blog, for the world to read: http://prometheusfusionperfection.com/.
