Aalterate

Christobal de Oliveira, Sabotage Studio
Diving into a coma, a woman tries to find the cause of her unconsciousness. She experiences extreme inner tension as its mutating silhouette gradually invades an empty canvas to a point of complete saturation. _Aalterate _is an attempt to represent the emergence of memory, intangible by nature, in a concrete, physiological way. By permanent transformations, electric nervous impulses which draw past events and organic forms which compose the elements of memory, in this film the body becomes the visible material of thought.

Rather than describing the events in a linear and frontal narrative, _Aalterate_ promotes seductive evocation so that narrative threads weave into the mind of the audience and find the freedom to stray to other possible readings.
