Computer Animation / Film / VFX Auszeichnung - Award of Distinction 2013

Duku Spacemarines

La Mécanique Du Plastique
_Duku Spacemarines_ is a short animated film about a mosquito. No, it’s rather the story of a Chinese man hacking the American capitalist system. Or is it about chickens? Actually it is the story of a story. A scenario that strives after the high standards of Hollywood, with explosions. And so the animation, from the glitch to the glow, never mind if there is nothing to say, cinema has visual effects.
_Duku Spacemarines_—a 2012 graduation film from the department of digital art of the University of Paris 8—was handmade in a typical Parisian apartment, with a table, a kitchen, and a small living-room filled with four computers, eight screens and four guys who go under the name of La Mécanique du Plastique.
