uFarm

Matteo Alessio Tambussi
the uFarm (former Seedcoin) project is an award-winning POC that aims at empowering and unifying the spontaneous movement of Urban and Community Farming, emerging in many urban areas around the world as a model restructuring consumption lifestyle and social relations in big conglomerates, with a Gaming GPS App for job posting and rewarding that uses decentralized ledgers provided by the blockchain technology.

uFarm means to create a GPS RPG (Role Playing Game) for common people, that leads them to take on bounties posted by the local network
of Urban and Community Gardens, and allows them to cash in credits in the form of ERC20 tokens. These credits represent a first economic circuit from garden to garden, that breaks the regime of autarchy in which these gardens operate.

By creating this circuit, the game is expected to wire in into the local circular economy and provide third parties and partners with the chance to join the RPG in form of bounty-issuers, token dealers and local stake-holders. Thus, here we generate the concept of Decentralized or Crypto Micro Finance.

the uFarm project is currently working on its alpha-phase: an online Census of all the urban and community farming realities.
A work-in-progress version of the Census, pre-launch, is currently available at the following link: https://censusdelta.oaz.openazienda.com/login.

The aim of the Census is to engage the farming communities first, in order to obtain directly from them the informations necessary to build the environment.
