Lunar Trees
Sandra Filippucci
The “Stone Age Series” submissions are about the evocation of our inscrutable pre-history lives, lives that are now more dimensional through investigatory technology but will, no doubt, always be elusive despite generational probing. They are about the magic of symbols and the poignancy and importance of memory. The Cycladic faces are, in fact, from the few sculptures known to exist from this ancient culture, all of which are women. (Sandra Filippucci)
