Moment-Aufnahme
Arjen van der Meulen
Immediately after my studies, that is in 1985, I started working with computer graphics. That is why I had to do with sophisticated and “color spacing” images every day. Slowly I tried to get my own pictures towards art. I understand the computer to be one tool out of many and not as a replacement for pencil, paper and photography.
In order to produce the images I shot some photographs in an old house in Torgau (G.D.R.). Then I reworked them with the computer and a paint program. The “originals” of the photos, that is, enlarged prints of the original slides, are framed in wood and lacquer and are hanging in the now refurbished house in Torgau. (Arjen van der Meulen)
